Just curious, how would you describe the tone of this Engl full stack? I've heard they are more Marshall sounding than Mesa.

Well I feel it doesn't sound like either.
most amps I have used from Marshall and Mesa tend to be a little gritty or broken up for my taste Engl has a very tight gain that can deliver blues or complete meltdown drive.yet the stay colored without low end thrush or wow from the cabinet.can be very loud!!
They are all tube amps and no op amps drivers. for switching they use relays. The amp really has a rich deep sound with flat eq.
you can get what ever you want. their cabinets are made from 11 ply Siberian birch they weigh a ton! but sound awesome. very imaged and 3d sounding.
same size as the marshall cabs.
check out some sound samples at www.rocksolidamps.com
(damn I feel like a sales man hahaha)

Cool! Thanks Todd
