I'm selling this camcorder because I'm using a mac now and it's only compatible w/pc as far as computers go.
It uses DVD-R which you can finalize with the camera and play in 99.9% of DVD players. It also uses DVD-Ram which is rewritable and good for editing w/ the included software. Most panasonic dvd players will play DVD-Ram discs. It has an SD card slot. You can take pictures and store them on the SD card or on the DVD itself (1280x960 resolution). It has a 1/8 inch input, you can run an external mic or sound from a board into the camera. The regular mic has a limiter. We recorded alot of live DRS with this camera and it does pretty well. A couple of examples here (the atomic cantina footage is a bit distorted because of the confined space and the blistering volume that we usually played): Why @ airfest Just Thinking @ atomic I paid about $700 for it a couple of years ago. It retails for about $550 now. Asking $200 jpstroh@gmail.com Comes w/ the following: 1 av cable for connecting to tv or dvd recorder, 1 usb cable, pc software, 2 DVD-R, 4 DVD-Ram, manual, battery charger (not pictured), ac connection (not pictured). here's a link and some pictures: Hitachi DZ-MV580a camcorder "Well, are you gonna pull those pistols or whistle dixie?" --Josey Wales |
