Anybody have any mixing or editing software I could purchase before I go and pay retail? Just bought a new digital recorder but need some software to mix and edit the songs on my computer.......

Does anybody know which software thats out there that is worth buying that won't break the bank and max out my credit card? I know Pro-Tools is the standard but is there anything else out there less expensive?

Adobe Audition (formerly Cool Edit Pro). Easy to use, very powerful. Probably find a copy on ebay for 20-30 bones. Get 2.0 if you can.
