My amp is toasted. I think all the beer, sweat, heat and heavy smoke took a toll on the old guy. I'm looking at 3 weeks plus for repair (if it's repairable) at Encore. Fingers crossed.

Anyways, we have a few out-of-state gigs coming up and we're missing rehearsals now because no amp. I need to get a replacement/backup ASAP.

I'm looking for something pref. tube, vintage and loud as fucking hell. I have several old guitars and cars I may be willing to trade for the right piece (or $$$) Anyone have a fender bassman 100?

Please email me if you have anything you can let go of. jeremy@jemezweb.com

That's right. Just don't go around trying to blame us and our "curse".

Seriously though, sorry to hear about this situation. Sucks when you get your tones dialed in and then something goes out. Did you ever find a Green Ruskie Muff? And out-of-state gigs? Do tell!

Does anyone have suggestions on good amp techs? Everyone tells me to go to Encore.

The green muff... no luck finding one now and the prices on ebay are just fucking wrong. I did however spray a little switch cleaner on my and seems to have put a stop to my sticking problem.

OUt of town gigs... Yea we're playing SHoD in Mesa on Sept. 2 and maybe a gig in Flagstaff... but it's looking more likely now we will just stay at SHoD and party.

I played thru practically every head they had at grandmas and I wasn't too impressed with anything... not even the Mesas, marshalls or even the Oranges. I think the little fender tweed re-issues sound the best to me... they just aren't loud enough. I wish fender still made "twin" heads...

my impression is that Encore deals with the boutique gear. they always treat my nice guitar very well. they would probably treat your tube amp well.

they do not carry Mesa anymore, and will tell you all about it...

i am not into loud, but have you considered getting a small tube amp for tone, and running it thru a solid state power section for volume?

I have that amp still Jeremy. You can run an extension cab from it too. It might be loud enough for you, and it's cheap. Either way I'm with gfx-get a smaller tube amp and run a cab from it.

I have a 1968 Sunn 200s tubed head, 60w. It was made for bass, but I heard some people use them as guitar heads.

Hey web monkey. I have a green Big Muff Pie. Its not the older ones...which I am assuming you are looking for. However, I am willing to lend it as a back up for your tour if you want it.
