Connie and I are rehearsing in earnest once again in the hopes of being ready to play shows, as the giranimals, come January or February. We are going to go ahead as a duo, but with the emphasis changed a bit, musically speaking. Whereas the old giranimals were pretty much a textbook guitar-based indie-pop/rock band, Connie is now playing Rhodes electric piano only (sort of Ray Manzarek style-playing bass parts with the left hand and chords/melodies with the right) and singing, while I am playing drums and singing, as always. It actually sounds really refreshing for us and we're excited to get to where we can play shows with you all again.
Oh, and the reason we are staying a 2-piece outfit is because our music is just too advanced for all of you. There is nobody in town good enough to play our stuff
