...we are on a vacation of sorts. Connie and I are expecting our second child April 3rd, so we're taking it easy for a while. We might still pick up an occasional show, but we're keeping a low profile. We'll be back with new songs and a new album eventually

Good for you guys! I was only able to ever hear you guys once, when we played with you at Burt's a year or so back, and was quite impressed. We had one kid then, and I think we were expecting another at the time. Two makes it especially challenging even before taking into consideration that the both of you are in the same band. Double that with late nights, odd schedules, etc. So I wish you guys the best of luck and all!

Somebody* should start some kind of local band babysitter collective. Unit 7 and us swap our kids all the time, but since we play together so much somone always has to stay home.

*some non-drunk person. Also, one time as a kid I had a babysitter who made me watch Red Dawn because "it was going to happen." And then it never did and now I almost never have a chance to yell "WOLVERINES!" Anyway, I'd not pick that guy.

Ya, babysitting can be really hard to find, especially when you get home from a show at 2:00 AM. Luckily, Connie's parents like to watch them and don't mind late nights.
And by the way, I based my childhood around Red Dawn. Literally. I wished the Russians and Cubans would invade the US so I could flee to the mountains and fight a guerilla war against them. "This violates the Geneva Convention." "I never heard of it!"
But anyways, we're excited. Our family just keeps growing.

Damn, Maury! You're a machine!!! Seriously though, big congrats. We need more drummers. And bloody hell, Levi. Musician-parents-babysitting-co-op sounds like a good idea!
