27th/burt's was my first giranimals show ( at which is was nice to find out whether its grr-animals or jeer-animals. really. i wasn't sure).
i'm immediately reminded of the poppy goodness of braddy janet (1996 albq, kim baxter now fronting the all-girl summer fun band).

as i stress again & again, emo to me isn't lyrical but stylistic: i mean, joey ramone singing 'i don't wanna walk around with you' is about as emo-tional as it gets.
its about 5 am after the after party but my first impression of giranimals is pop-pop good with LOTS more potential.
was that mrs crandall video-ing the proceedings? a sweet gesture.

Yes, that was the mother video-ing. She was in town for the holiday and wanted to film us. I'm not embarassed-you've got to love a mom for being that stoked.
