Does it have to be hot? cant it be mildly warm? My jumblies are very sensitive to "hot." Somehow the thought of tea bagging a bowl of hot nacho cheese just isn't on my "kinky/cool" list

other than that, we're really looking forward to the show!!! WHOOP!

Gio-

First of all, sounds like a cool gig. Congrats! So, do the belly dancers help tear down gear, too?

Anyway, I was under the impression that Outpost was stictly for jazz and such. I guess I was wrong. Do you have contact info for Outpost?

Thanks!

We didn't put the show together, but I'll be sure to ask Monica of YaYa Boom how it all works. If you like, I can give her your number??

The Outpost show was so much fun! I didn't get to see much of Age of Apathy's set, but what I did see was pretty good. They're a young band and I'm sure as they keep working, the music will develop into something great. Ya Ya Boom was a pleasure as always. I wanted to buy a CD but didn't have any cash. Frown That's ok though. I got my groove on and that was enough to make me happy for the night! Oh yes, and for those that weren't there, Joe Felts is playing guitar for us now. I tell you, our guitarists and drummers keep getting younger and younger and in the meantime Jon, Chris, and I keep getting older and older....good thing we're terribly immature... Big Grin

ok, now I'm kinda hurt... Monica told me they are looking for "underage" bands to play there. I think she thinks we only do Doobie Brother covers....

btw, Joe is a great addition! Just quit playing Korn covers during warm up.. I hate that! Love Korn, but I hate that... LOL

Skynyrd rules!!!

I avoided telling her how old we were. I just told her the "average age of the band" which is "around 21". I can understand where she's coming from though. There are alot of young musicians that don't get to play in bars and if they do get to play, they have to immediately leave after their set.

I always make sure to warm up to Vince Guaraldi's Charlie Brown theme song or "The Entertainer" as to not get eyes rolled at me like, "Oh gawd, she's warming up to Ben Folds Five. Oh puleeeze, she's warming up to Fiona Apple...how TYPICAL". Heh. I'm working on a new warm-up song...the Dr. Mario theme, in tribute to my friend and ex-bandmate Daniel aka Buddy Holly.

doors at 7:30pm, $5, ALL AGES!!

This one's for the kids that couldn't go to the Launchpad on Friday 9/10. I bought the CD at that release and its beeeeautiful. I'm expecting a great turn out, seeing as how you've got four of Burque's best all on one stage this coming Saturday. Plus, I hear Josh and Chris will be donning bikinis and wrestling in a kiddie pool full of cream corn during Ki's set.

I hope that's just a rumor. Eek

That's right Wink The only way I would go to a symphony was if it had something to do with LotR, haha. And I think it was destiny that HBAB has an all ages show on the same weekend, so I could come and experience the rockingness.
