Our circle of friends has been playing dodgeball on New Year's in a church gym for the past 4 years. We decided this year that we would make it a monthly event and extend it to everyone we know. This month's event:



Band-wise, we've had members of We Were Born As Ghosts, The Decca Sequence, (us of course), and a dude from Phoenix/Japan who plays and builds guitars. It's a hell of a time and a damn good workout. The location kinda sucks (its on Paseo near Wyoming), but for now, its the cheapest (free!) so it'll do. Anyway, get a hold of me if you want to come out. We may integrate strobes and black lights this time around.

Oh. my. Is he on your team? Rats, I see the ring. Kidding! It sounds like a blast, but I don't know how to play. Can I come watch?

Sure you can come, uh, "watch" (hehehe)! The noobs that show up for dodgeball get a 30-second run-down of the rules and then it's game time. It's really not hard--unless you're a heavy smoker. But standing on the sidelines laughing and pointing is cool too.

Honestly, I suck. I can't throw, I'm a slow runner, and I'm terrible at catching. All I can do is dodge, which sucks when I'm the last person out. It's really all in good fun and it rarely gets competitive. We've got a little PA in there with which to pump the best dodgeball jams (DragonForce anyone?)

Oh! And I had to change the flyer to remind people to "dress out". Here's a taste of some of our players' dodgeball majesty.
