I posted previously, but I wanted to make some updates...

This studio is cheap. That's the #1 point. We're not out to get rich, nor are we out to spend $200K on gear and sound design. However, that's neither here nor there. We're kinda into helping poor musicians, 'cause we're poor too.

So, engineer #1 has 7 years experience on his setup (not state of the art, but nothing lost on resolution/quality). High res. audio, good mic closet, great ears, great musician.

Engineer #2 has 4 years experience and is currently enrolled (2nd half of program) in Berkley School of Music online engineer program. His stuff is state of the art: Mac dual processer, Presonus firepod, Reason, Logic Pro, too much sampling/software/tools to list. Great ears, great drummer.

Each engineer knows the other's gear (each is an 8 track setup....infinite track count for mixing/producing). All gear can work together if need be. For the most part, that won't be necessary. Suffice to say that there's a lot of power at your disposal.

We've got 5 small diaphram condensers, three large (one tube), all the standard dynamic mics (probably 12), and a couple PZMs.

Drums, guitar and bass available at no charge.

We've recorded several local acts: Obscene Jesters, All She Wrote, Adam Hoox, The Betternauts, Jas, Demogorgon, Cadaveric Engorgement, and others. Of course, that was all out of our home....now we've got some room to work.

We have three rooms: lounge, control and live sound. Nothing's particularlly dazzling about any of them...if anything they're substandard. ha ha.

Bottom line: It's something that all of us can afford and we know what we're doing. All genres welcome. Bring your manners. Manage your beers and whatnot (ie, don't leave a mess and don't make a mess of yourself) and leave the hard shit at home.

$15/per hour. $12/hour for the first ten customers.

I need update the website with on-site pics and get some more mp3's up ('cause most of the ones up now are old), but I'm a slacker, so it's there, not updated as we speak: http://www.mannydogrecords.com

call Chris @ 304.5252 or Bobby @ 514-9948 or email from site. thanks.

quick update:

i've put a lot of time and money into the space recently to make it more 'liveable' and less gross. in addition, i've done extensive acoustic treatment throughout. the place sounds great.

it seems as though the $15/hr rate is confusing folks. perhaps falling into the category of 'too good to be true' (read: it sucks). i can assure you that this is not the case.

anyways, the rates are going up to $20/hr. May 1st, so get it while you can.

ask Slick 50, 3rd Hour, Obscene Jesters, Kingrays or MK Ultra how their stuff turned out...

Last chance for $15/hr. Anybody who books 4 hours or more before May 1st (even if it's for a future date) can still take advantage.

Otherwise, we're headed to $20/hr.

Thanks.
