Just confirmed that I will be reissuing the much underlooked 1982 debut album by the Wind. This band was playing DIY very early on. They were originally teens growing up in Florida obsessing over the Beatles second album as pop perfection. They wrote well over 200 songs and were hellbent on making the perfect pop record. Being stuck in florida (much similar to being stuck in Albuquerque) there was nobody into the pop scene at the time so they released the record themselves. Armed with 20 copies of the debut record they headed to New York and hit up all the record labels. They stopped off at Rolling stone and ended up giving a copy to Kurt Loder. He put the record on and immediately freaked out and wrote an article in rolling stone about them.

After that they kind of fizzled into non-existence.

Anyways, I'm really happy to be rereleasing this record as it's nearly impossible to find these days and it's a record I really, really love. Fans of my last release by the Marbles will devour this record in an equally satisfying way.

Should be out in June. Also I'll be putting it out in a gatefold sleeve with liner notes by the band.
