We have talked about it in the past but...
We (FMS) have a line on a small theater that can be utilized in all different sorts of capacities. The first one that comes to our mind is having small laid back shows acoustic-like. Maybe during the day on a weekend or something. Besides music, the theater also puts on plays, art exhibitions, etc. Any suggestions on events? Any interest of playing here? Ideas please.

We would def. be interested. We are interested in alternatives to the regular spots downtown-you know, to mix things up a bit.

Okay, that sounds good. What did you have in mind? This definitely isn't a bar setting, so we need to get creative.

Well, is it only available weekends? Or are weekdays possible too?

It's available pretty much any day with advance notice. And like I said, this doesn't necessarily only have to be music...it could be a combination of things. They have had a night where there was a local artist exhibit, a play and an acoustic performance between scenes in the play. The possibilities are endless.

I'm looking to set something up for August 20th for a touring band and my band. When you say acoustic, does it have to be truly acoustic? My band's not very loud and could easily play fairly low volume amplified. Perhaps we could coordinate that along with an art show or other performance of some type. Does the place have a PA?

The sound does not have to be truly acoustic. The concern is that there are residential houses right behind the theater so we could possibly see noise ordinance issues if the sound is too loud or played too late. Basically, we just can't do any "skull crushing metal" there...otherwise, I think we'll be fine if we keep a decent volume. The theater does not have a PA, but depending on the show I'm sure we could arrange something.
