with a couple of songs off of our album.
WAY early, like 8 AM, so set your alarms kiddies!

Since you're the big attention hog up in General chatter, I thought I'd just come down here, say "hey", and chill out for a bit.....

Yeah, me too. Then again the last time I was slightly calm was on the morphine drip. I thought you quit smoking? If that's not the case........how does the "sending a private message" thing work?

What a mistake.

So Romeo GTH did the radio thing this morning. 104.7 The Edge.
It was fun, I don't know if we sounded like jackasses or what.
I know a bunch of other locals have done it (10 bands?) I never got hear any of them though. I hope they weren't cooler than us....
They played Black Whole off our cd and we plugged our shows tonight and tomorrow and the website, stuff, etc. They were nice to us, we got donuts. Glazed.

They were doing this bit we were told to play along with... I don't want to ruin the magic of radio for anyone, but they are just in these tiny little rooms with a computer, all the Clear Channel stations packed into cubicles. All that stuff they say is made up, all the calls rehearsed. When they make those fart sounds, they aren't actually farting, they just push a button. I'm pretty impressed actually that they can find shit to talk about everyday (regardless of quality- which was better than I'd expected) I mean, that requires a lot of bullshitting ability. I don't think I could keep it up, and I'm a bullshitter. Anyway, this particular bit was too elaborate and it was too early for me to come up with anything good. We were ok. Noelan did pretty good.
They told me listeners buy all these bits and call in with sympathy, some times legal advice and offer help and stuff. I thought that was the funniest thing they said the whole time.

They also have soda machines for 55 cents! Must be a dream job. except for the whole "getting there at 5 AM" bit. Actually, that job must suck.

Anyway, thanks to The Edge and those guys, whatever their names were. And anyone who might have listened...ha ha ha... who the fuck is up listening to the radio at 8AM? No one I know, sure as fuck not the kinda people who come see our shows.
