Drummer/Percussionist
Vocals a plus

For: Gigging Instrumental Rock Band performing various styles, such as Surf, Rockabilly, Latin, Rhythm & Blues. Playing for fun, not fame, is the ultimate goal. We have 40+ songs in our repertoire, with a 70/30 split of covers and strong originals, and we will expand our originals. We gig approximately once a month, mostly around ABQ area, and we have been invited to the Alibi Spring & Fall Crawls 3 times.

Influences: Los Straitjackets, Dick Dale, The Fireballs, The Ventures, The Insect Surfers, Duane Eddy, Link Wray, and many others.

Drummer/Percussionist should be creative and versatile in a variety of styles, and willing to contribute to the composition and arrangement of original material. Must be capable of controlling volume appropriate to context of song and venue, especially for smaller venues.

MUST HAVE: Must be 21+. Must be able to accept and handle respectful constructive criticism. Must have own gear, own transportation, steady job. Must be easygoing, mature, reliable, and a non-drug user. NO EXCEPTIONS. Will be expected to help with pursuit of gigs and promotion.

I just left my last project and am looking for something new to do. I am 21 year old drummer who is well versed in jazz, latin, rock, and funk fusion-type stuff. id be down to hear more about what your catalog consists of and whether I would be right for the spot. Hope to hear back from you.

JR: Yes, we are still looking. Since we do mostly instrumentals, all players have to step in to make the magic happen, so it's a great opportunity to get creative.
