Screw looking for a band needing one guy...let's start from scratch.
I'm a 30-something guitarist that's played around this town for years (Evenkeal, Voodoo Groove, and Void Cathedral among other bands). I'd love to start a new Hard Rock band...that means a singer that can sing, guitarists that can play, and a rhythm section that can bounce between genres (Hard Rock, in its best, uses many). In this band, we would play covers to get the exposure and to fund our recording/promotional efforts with originals.
The best bands in history haave had to do both, and the game really is no different in this town.
At this time, I'm an apartment dweller that cannot host any auditions. I'd like to meet others with similar tastes and goals, and see if we can find a practice space and get to work.
I got an e-mail from a guy that plays both guitar and bass, and he may have a room as well. No offense, Axl, but that room's kinda cramped when amps and people are in there...I'd like to either get one of the bigger rooms at Lesmen's or see what the other guy can offer.
Sorry, last band had a monster 24 x 24 room at Lesmen's, kept it for a year, and it was excellent being able to hear everyone well.
I'd like another dose of that. Happiness is walking right out front of the band and just listening sometimes. It did wonders for the whole "tightening" thing.
I'm looking for something a bit different than their setup...but they may be able to assist me anyway. I called, y'all can quit hijacking the thread now

Our biggest need is a drummer. Here's the catch: for the moment, it appears we'll be rehearsing in the East Mountain area (Sandia Park). So, any of you drummer types that hang up there, drop me a line...
