Lessee ... Nancy Wilson, Tina Weymouth, Patti Smith, Liz Phair, PJ Harvey, Neko Case, Maria McKee, Chrissie Hynde, and all of Sleater-Kinney ... and if you count Yoko Ono, that makes ... one.

It's the women whom are completely supportive to the band, that you never hear about. Mine just happens to be a great drummer, but of course the lack of interest in a girl drummer makes you guys seem, well kind of gay. I wonder if you'll have any better luck with "husbands"! Big Grin

AEROSMITH
Summer of 1979 saw the band headline over Van Halen, Ted Nugent, AC/DC and Foreigner during the world music festival concerts. An argument backstage in Cleveland resulted in Joe Perry's wife throwing a glass of milk at Tom Hamilton's wife. This would prove to be the turning point that saw Perry quit Aerosmith, taking a collection of unrecorded material with him, which would later become the basis of his Let the Music Do the Talking album.

hey steve, how's it going ... so the most recent left cuz his wife made him quit ... just for kicks you should reply with a list of all of the reasons/excuses for tgb drummers becoming ex-drummers.

actually, this would be fun for all of us. In all the bands I've played with we have the following reasons for drummer demise:

-broke up with bandmate + alcoholism
-sleazy + diabetic + almost died on tour
-pain pill addiction
-can't maintain tempo, verging on racist/ misogynist
-too good for us (no really, he was) + meth
-sexual predator + unreliable
-needed too much money to play

~ Is this what boredom looks like?

Ooh, fun. And we can keep the groundbeneath sexist drummer posting at the top of the list...

Sorry I got scared when I just heard Nirvana's "Breed" on a Rock Band commercial. I'll do this list and then i'll go cry.

Garage cover band (my first attempt at a "band"), our drummer got a gig with a Country band. he probably made some money and is in rehab now. Not exciting just sad in every possible way.

I joined a band before X-mas break in college, came back from Alb. to Cruces a week later and the drummer I had never met had disappeared. His car was found in a ditch in Texas. True story.

Punk band, we had a drummer who thought he was a metal player. Our guitar player told him we broke up, which we did until we found another drummer. Couldn't hold tempo to save his life.

as far as drugs are concerned, are you just talking about coke and heroin? What about the fake hydro stuff they sell at Wild Side?
