Hey all, I can play guitar (acoustic and electric), bass, or drums and can sing lead or do harmonies. I can also play many other instruments but don't actually own them. I have the ability to record things if needed in my garage. I'm bored, (I got layed off from my job and old band broke up several months ago) and have been trying to start a band. I don't know that many people so I am trying a different approach now. Ideally I would like to be able to play music for a living.
Hit me up if you are in need of a talented band member that is focused on making and writing music. Peace
hey man, you are speaking my language. you can check us out at www.myspace.com/transfriction. hit us up if you'd like to jam sometime.

I'm down for pretty much everything besides death metal, country or screamo. A little screaming is cool though. I just don't like it when throughout an entire song the "singer" is screaming. That being said I'm pretty damn open minded when it comes to music. What do you have in mind?
I'm down for post-punk/indie type rock (a la Interpol, The Strokes, Mew and what have you), Space Rock or Psychedelic type rock (a la The Flaming Lips), shoegaze (a la My Bloody Valentine), or post-rock/experimental (a la Sigur Ros, Explosions In The Sky, Yndi Halda, God Is An Astronaut, A Silver Mt. Zion, etc). I might consider progressive as well (a la Dredg).
Outside of that I get pretty iffy about playing any other genres but I'd be willing to hear suggestions.
I'd be looking to probably start something around the beginning of May, if you can wait that long.
