Oh, c'mon. I'm pumped about David Byrne and all, but the fact that it's at the Kiva makes the whole thing a little disappointing. That place is uncomfortable, and you can't even get a damn drink. Right? Am I the only one who goes to concerts depending on circumstance, no matter how much I like the performer?
I haven't ever attended a gig at the Kiva, but I absolutely won't miss this show. I've always wanted to stammer my way through a brief, awestruck conversation with David Byrne. What are the acoustics like in the Kiva?
On a vaguely related note, have y'all seen David Hanson's new robot? It has David Byrne's voice and mimics human facial expressions. It's deliciously creepy.
