for those of you who don't know Pilot very well to go to their website to read their tour diaries. If you've ever played in a band, rubbed elbows with someone who has or just has an interest in bands, the tour diaries are AMAZING reading. Travis (I believe) authored them and they capture the typical, the extraordinary, the reasons why bands tour and very specifically why touring is so difficult. Great stuff.

Pilot was always a well respected band here in Albuquerque. I don't think I ever saw them have a bad a night (and they played a *lot* of shows). They might tell you otherwise but that's what I thought. I personally liked them best as a three piece (Miguel on bass) but they were excellent with four.

Sean told me he's beginning to play guitar with Oktober People. That's a nice match. As for the others, I'm sure they'll appear in some form or another.

I'll think I'll go listen to some of their music now.

That's what playing music is about IMO ... making music to rock for people who care enough to get rocked.

Simple as that. Smile

I am sad that Pilot is over, but all things [especially good things] must end, so rock while you can, without regrets, and have a good time doing it.

I was there and P2B went out like a champ. They played a final show that reminded me once again why I liked them so much.
