Everyone's on board for Racist Cop now. We decided that if we have to practice in my garage in the sweltering heat of Summer, fuck it. That said, I respect my drummer's girlfriend's opinion. She comes to most of our shows, has heard our music more than anybody, and has to put up with our drunk stupid asses every Friday for practice. She's just going to have to live with the fact that she's going to wind up to telling people that Racist Cop practices at her house. I have to give a big thank you to Foodstamps for bestowing this gem upon us. We owe you free stuff for days.

Noose eh...we'll have to work a tree in there somewhere too...the possibilities are endless.

1st step would be to change the title of this forum to Racist Cop.

OK, I'm trying to figure this out - why Racist Cop? It's just a joke name, right? Will it still be funny a year from now? I mean really, why would you want to associate yourselves with a "racist cop?" Isn't that kindof shooting yourselves in the foot? Is this name meant to insure that your band remains obscure and "independant?"

Having typed all that, I actually think it's a cool name. It definitely says you have no aspirations to being the next U2. And only a stupid cop would take offense because it's certainly not saying that ALL cops are racist. In fact, it's merely pointing out ONE racist cop, as in singling one out from the pack. But quidado - many cops are, in fact, quite stupid.

I guess the point of all this overanalysis is to say I think the name deserves a green light. I'd put a sticker on my car for free music.
