We have 6 solid new songs and another 3-4 that are there but still under development. We were supposed to record at the end of January but we're probably going to push that back now because of Kyle's injury. One song in particular is different from anything we've done so far and I can't wait to bust it out in due time. I just can't get the groove out of my head.

I think we are going to go with the cardboard sleve again and let me tell you why... although it's only a few hundred more for a gatefold CD jewelcase, the cardboard sleeves are compact enought to fit 300 in a small box in the van. (the same box would only fit 60-70 jewel cases) also the weight of the disc in an envelope is under an ounce and this is big when shipping to Europe (where we've sold the majority of our CDs). If it's under an ounce you don't have to fill out a customs form and also the shiping is only like $1.70 to most places in Europe. Plus I like the cardboard sleves, they just seem a bit more punk rock to me.

It's tempting to do a jewel case but the benefits of the sleve have me convinced to go with that at this point.

How do you plan on recording this time? Live to tape or track by track?

good question... ? we will prob. record live with each amp in a separate room for isolation then layer on top of that and dial in the vocals and add some guitar overdubs. i'm not really a big fan of click tracks and worrying about making everything absolutley perfect. to me that takes away alot of the emotion and soul. we've got lots of ideas brewing and we're really in no rush so we'll see

Screw the jewel cases, bro - cardboard will be fine. There's too much plastic in the world, anyway.
