Yo, I'm new to this forum and I just wanted to say hey to everybody. I'm all about sticking together as musicians, because the business is so competitive that we can easily be turned against one another. We also must stick together to establish a living wage. Far too many musicians will play for free when we should be establishing unions and getting paid like any other craftsmen (mechanics, carpenters, etc.)

Anyways, hit me up and say hi! I want to get to know u guys.

Hey, I get pretty sticky too. Especially here when it's like 95 degrees all the time. Unfortunately I'm not the glue that holds the band together.. I would describe myself as a collector, or someone who brings everyone together. The funny thing is, if any of you have heard the music, our finished product will sound nothing like the music on the site. Please hold from passing judgement on the music because I had virtually no hand in writing it. I only played on it. This is why I don't hold the band together. Maybe someday.. But, anyways, what are you guys doing in your musical lives? What types of genres are u interested in?

A new member without a bad attitude? What's this forum coming to?

Welcome to the site!

When you move to town/ start going to this site, it's supposed to go like this: you talk about how much the town sucks and how we all are ruining it for everyone else and keeping people with real talent down through our evil plot/suckiness. Then you say how awesome you are, drop a few semi-dubious famous names, and tell us we'll never work again once you take over. You might speed things along with something political, it doesn't matter which side. We all heap on abuse, both the valid kind and the cheap kind, until you leave in disgust/pout/burn out in anger. A year later you come back and try to make friends. But some people ain't hearing it, and heated words are typed poorly in angry haste. Everyone takes sides and it starts again. If you survive the hazing for another year or three then you are in and we reveal the secrets of our evil plot, while occasionally taking shots at you for the sake of tradition. Resentments linger forever, just like with real friends.

Is it a deal? Because change scares me. But I'm lazy, so I guess I'll just skip to revealing the evil plot, which is this: ...oh, shit, I'm sorry, I left it in my other pants. Oh well, nevermind!

I actually like you guys.. On some other forum, they wanted to crucify me for putting my website name at the bottom of my post.. Wow, why are people so unkind to each other on here? I just want to find out what other musicians like and are into. Thanks for being friendly you guys. I think it's because you guys are actually musicians and they are posers. Peace ya'll

Welcome Nate, this is a very good site to network, promote your band, gigs or whatever project your doing....But we have a few Kooky Cabrones on here, but just take it in stride.....

Those are some hilarious posts... and I like the five minute sin band, too.. good tunes.. Actually the guy with the skirt on is me.. It was a theme party band we were making where I was ... "Lord Mantis the Goatmaster" Our schtick was that we were the best musicians assembled from a time machine (ala Bill and Ted)


Anyways, it was a pretty goofy time... If you guys haven't figured it out ... the songs are done by different bands ive been in...

You guys are definitely the coolest forum I've been so far.. There's one ... forums.thestranger.com ... They are sooooooooo damn smug.. But, I digress.. Everyone have a merry day and thank you for your comments.. I plan to be a regular contributer from now on...
