How did you come up with yours?... Ours came out of a realization that we have all been "lock"ed in to our houses by 12 feet of snow in one night before and this snow was caused by a "winter" storm. So we put the two words together and voila! Winterlock.

What Would Hüsker Dü?

We find bands whose names we like and, after dispatching them and hiding their bodies under overpasses, steal their names.

No, seriously. We just ask Satan.

Our name came to be when we used to play in the drummers room which was an attic of sorts. An afterthought bedroom really. We were The Attic Band until i google searched our name and some UK band had already taken it. We were freshman in HS and we sucked.

Later on we were told to no longer jam out in our attic of sorts or banned as we so put it now and we then became The Attic Banned.

We came up with the name when the bar (The Attic) was still Inferno's, unfortunately we had not played a single gig at the time so needless to say we have Tons of problems with our name. I can hardly finish saying our name before someone thinks we are from the bar or says, "thats an original name". so now to unknowing peoples I refer to us as T.A.B. which is just as original Fun times!

we brainstormed every practice for a few weeks and wrote all of our ideas on a markerboard (every practice space needs one of these!) we had quite a few good ideas but SuperGiant was the one that we could all agree on and wasn't taken by any other band. we like the way the words fit together and the meanings of the two words together. plus the astronomical definition has such a nice ring to it!

SuperGiant - The term used to describe the most massive and luminous of stars. Typical supergiants are several hundred times larger than the Earth's Sun, and much more luminous, meaning that they can be seen from very great distances.

The Bellmont is from the lyrics of some screeching weasal song. billy grew up on that kind of music.

Weapons of Mass Destruction started out as a solo thing and the name, to me, represents how truly powerful ideas can destroy populist structures.

La Llarona, the newest band I'm in, was named because of it's regional significance and the fact that it's just plain cool. I mean, who from NM doesn't know of La Llorona?

We had a list and then we each ranked our 5 favorites in order, thinking one or two would come out near the top. They didn't. We had a show coming up and needed a name pretty bad, so Rexx just mentioned this one. I said, "fine, whatever, we'll just change it when we come up with something better." ...*sigh*

La Lorona is a great band name. If you want to get even more obscure for yankees like Geoff, how about "Xtah Xpuch'"? I have always wanted to do La Llorona to My Sharona, but it's probably been done.

My last band was called Hall of Fame. We took it from a Government Issue song. but I don't think anybody got it.

We read a newspaper article that said, "Cold snap expected to hit southwest!" Or something like that. And we took it.

And then Cold Snap 9 started. We were the first though!

I think it was between La Llorona and Curse of the Chupacabra.

I like both.

We did not get our name from satan as most of you know satan doesn't exist.

We got it from Jahbulon the true lord of darkness.
