I had a breakthrough and realized that the local music scene in Albuquerque can be broken down into two types of bands:

-The bands that Sloppy likes
-The bands that Sloppy doesnt like

mmmmmm.... I think that might be overly simplistic. I think it's more like this:

The bands that Sloppy F*ckin Loves
The bands that Sloppy likes after a few Bridgeport IPA's
The shitty bands that Sloppy tolerates in order to see the bands he f*ckin loves
The bands that Sloppy F*ckin hates

Well that really all depends. For instance, look at our bassist Diamond Dan-

1. The chicks Diamond Dan would do
2. The chicks diamond dan would not do

The problem is that there is absolutely no one in category 2.

Thunda does like a few bands, but his taste isnt definative of what rocks. I am known for my bad taste in music among other things. All I am saying is that if it doesnt truly rock (but could possibly be cool in another way) Sloppy wont be there.

it's true, dr. thunda has highly questionable taste. sloppy, on the other hand, has very dependable taste. as i pointed out to him recently, if i'm at a show and see him there, i know it won't suck. usually.

i cannot speak for diamond dan. anything that moves, huh?

Well, thanks. I just show up and try to have a good time; it's the bands who really make The Rocking possible.

Sounds like local music columnists (are there any left) have a new rating system.
