Looking for 2 underprivileged rocker / computer geeks here in ABQ. I have put together 2 complete (box, monitor, mouse, keyboard) Linux systems out of other people's trash and would like to give them away to the right home.
These are not really appropriate for casual Windows users but would make a great first (frickin' free!) machine for someone starting out with Linux. I might even throw on a drum machine / sequencing package. Also, the resale value of the hardware is pretty much shit so they won't get you much dope. So don't bother...
Any takers? You must not already have a computer and should probably show at least some rudimentary knowledge / interest in Linux... No, I'm not going to quiz you or inspect your house but try to be convincing.
I would be very interested since I've been contemplating building a linux box to familiarize myself with that OS. Many of my pc geeks friends rave about it anyhow.
