Was that Gwen Stacy? Sweet. Think they'll kill her? Or is it Black Cat?
Sandman looks pretty good. Are they going to do any more movies after this? I'd vote Vulture or Lizard in the next one. Actually, I like Swarm, but he's not around enough probably. That whole sandman on the street thing would be cooler with bees.
I always liked the black costume, but even after more than a dozen years since I read a comic with Venom in it, I still think he's played out. They may well pull it off though. I hear it's Topher Grace?
word has it that topher grace is eddie brock, and spidey dons the black costume for almost ALL of this movie... from rumors i've heard/read, venom appears in his full venom form for about the last 10 minutes of the film. which makes me think the next one will be full blown spidey vs. venom... and i would probably crap myself if carnage was involved as well.
Picard takes the cake cause Patrick Stewart can act, actually reads books, loves literature, and plays another famous marvel comics character and did a great job.
But William Shatner did go on tour with Ben Folds and that song they did together "this is me trying" almost made me cry the first time I heard it but then again I can be overly sentimental at times.
I didn't see the teaser cause my quicktime version doesn't have the right software and my software updater couldn't find it on the quicktime server.
I think that Venom and Carnage are the best spiderman bad guys and there are certain ones like the vulcher and the lizard that are just too much cheese. Toby Miguire as Spiderman is just the right amount of cheesyness to make the movies good. There need be no more or less cheese.

I think Venom got played out, but at least he has something going on. Carnage? That guy is the Nu Metal band of Spiderman villans. He's "extreme." They just took Venom and made him a serial killer with a shittier look and stopping writing plots. Yawn. Vulture and Lizard are kinda cheesy, but they are from the early 60's. The 60's were cheesy. Spiderman is cheesy. I prefer to think of it as classic. A lizard in a lab coat? An old man with wings? Fucking right. Those guys have been around for 40 years, while Carnage wore out his welcome in less than 5. And talk about corny: Doctor Octopus. Or Sandman's "costume." Lizard could be totally boss. Carnage also never seemed like a good fit for Spiderman. If you want a Carnage-type why not just find it someplace else done better? Does everything have to follow the trends of the mid-90's? I go to Spiderman for Spiderman, and if I want something extreme I'll drink Mountain Dew, thank you very much.
How do you know Shatner doesn't read books? And since when does that have anything to do with kicking ass? I read books all the time and I've never hooked up with sexy aliens chicks as far as I know. You can't include other roles or the actor's lives anyway; it's all about the characters. But if you did: Shatner was on Twilight Zone twice. Case closed.
Anyway, it is a lot funner arguing about this stuff then stuff that matters.
If I was going down on a planet that humans never had never set foot on, Kirk for sure. Just hanging out on the ship, or quick thinking during a space battle, Picard is the one I would choose.
