Has anyone ever hit Boise, ID on a tour? On the long drive back from Seattle it's one of the places 'on the way'. I'm just wondering if it's worth stopping there??? any venue suggestions?

It looks like the music scene there is similar to burque. There's a few music venues, The Boquet, The Venue, and Terapin Station. We've never played Boise but if its anything like Pocatello or Idaho Falls then it's probably worth it both those towns love music. But then again for us anywhere is worth it. Any show is a chance to sell merch and put gas in the tank and food on our plates. We played the 4-H building in wheatland wyoming for christs sake and it wasn't a bad show.

A very HEAVY band by the name of Pussygutt used to do house parties under the name of E.L.K. Not sure if they still do, but drop them a message about venues. super nice girl and guy. Hell, buy their LPx2.

I have a Boise contact who could probably set up a show with you and give you a place to crash. Last time I went through it was a pretty bleak crowd, but there were four out of town bands on the bill. Let me see if I can dig it up. Email me: natedaly @ gmail

every summer when I am in boise, i pick their local version of the alibi at some pizza place, and read about some awesome bands that go through there that don't come to albuquerque. so, in terms of fans, they're out there, and I would suggest it to be a good city to play in. cheap ass beer too.

I haven't really heard of anyone having amazing shows in Boise but you might give it a shot. There's a really cool club there called Neurolux. If people would show up it would be amazing. We played to just a small handful of people and it probably wasn't worth it. Most kids were hanging out at some diner-type place down the street for a dance/dj sort of night.

The band we played with was a heavy metal tribute to.... devo. One of the stranger acts i've ever seen in my life.

Definitely an experience. If you need a show it won't be the worst show you've ever played. It just won't be the best.
