ive been in town a month now. im pretty sure ive gotten a CD in at every regular rock venue in town.. ive had a few cool shows (though most of the better, popular places don't seem to be interested in 'outsider' bands they dont know..)
i also do solo/acoustic, old-school country-western shows quite a bit, does anyone know any GOOD places to play that caters to stuff like that in Albuquerque? lounges, bars, whatever.. 1-3 hour sets?
along the lines of Johnny Cash, Merle, etc.. not the crap new stuff.
im not even too concerned if its a cool place or not. country bars, dark lounges, old places.. middle of nowhere places. even cool resturaunts if there are any..
with all the old timer cowboys around here you'd think there would have to be a place with cool music.
