OK squawkers...for all of us who have nothing better to do than surf the net and smoke doobers all day...I'm wondering, which bands have the best websites in ABQ?
I personally like these ones... http://www.romeogoestohell.com http://www.unit7drain.com http://www.fiveminutesin.com (a shameless plug) http://www.wisdomoftheleech.com http://www.yournameinlights.net |

Cool, I put together two of those! Thanks. Shit, I need to do some updating though... getting a bit trashy looking.
I love the splash page on the Five Minute Sin site. A splash page really gets me to look deeper at a site. If I see it all looks the same I just hear a song and leave. Most local sites are so fucking boxy. Little boxes and frames and small windows and pack it all in like Tetris. It's the suburban home of web pages. I mean, it's functional and musicians ain't visual artists (they all think they are though) and you have a message to get across a variety of shitty equipment and connections... still. I also hate the flash animation blinking scrolling twitching schizo seizure inducing planetarium shit that anyone with money throws up. It doesn't make your band cool, pal. I've seen television. You are giving me a headache. The Friendly page is ok that way though I like The Foxx, The Dirty Novels, and the Lousy Robot sites because they look pretty and simple. I like Jason Daniello's page, pretty colors. I liked the Coma Recovery page, is it gone? I liked the old Oktober People page more, change is good though. |
