I was looking up some old messages from the Black Maria communication liason, and they vanished!

I just returned from a three hour meeting at the day job, and saw this. Seems that once again we are taking it up the ass from MySpace. No idea why. I suppose being cheap bastards and using a "free" deal like MySpace instead of paying for a fancy-pants web site has once again caught up to us.

As "Communications Liason" for the band,I'll be checking our forum here and our e-mail-- blackmariarocks@yahoo.com --on a regular basis throughout the day(s). So direct your questions, comments, death threats, record deals, party invitations and Pay-Pal/credit card account numbers to either or both of those joints.

I'll see what our leader has to say about this tonight at Band Camp.

And in all seriousness, thank y'all, again, for being so cool to us about this cyber snafu stuff.

i guess this is a lesson on how important it is to have your own website and even more important a "email list" to join on your site. (i haven't done it yet either)

myspace is just so easy it makes it hard to motivate to do something else. but thats BS that they will just delete you.

i just wonder what keeps making them do that? my guess it the other band "the black maria" that thinks they can use your name

Ah yes, the book. Well that may be a reality someday....soon. In the meantime you (and anyone who wants to put in an application) are welcome to hang out, observe and participate. Actions--you know---speak louder than words.

Keep in mind that you will need to present us with:

-A recent physical from a licenced physician.

-Some sort of certification from a mental health worker.

-Your PIN number

-A signed waiver relinqueshing your rights to any potential story that may occur as the result(s) of our time together.

-A signed waiver relinqueshing us of any and all responsibility for the physical, mental and fiscal outcome of your time with us.

-Proof that you enjoy a "good time" and that you "like to party".

-A list of all owned 8-Tracks, Albums, Casettes, CD's, mp3's, DVD's, VHS's and any other unspecified forms of recorded media.

-Three packs of Zig-Zag cigarette papers. White. Regular size.

-A church key

-Three boxes of Junior Mints. Theater size.

-A "can do" attitude

We are indeed hated "nationwide", and are rapidly filling in the gaps in Europe and Asia. Fuck Australia. The publicity comes naturaly when you are as problimatic as we are percieved. Then there was that whole incident in Austin at SXSW on the MySpace Tour bus. Oh well......

Every time Black Maria gets close to being on the myspace.com top 100, their account is deleted by the evil Rupert Murdoch (who gets good money from the bands that pay to be on said list), thereby making Black Maria start over again from scratch. Elementary, my dear Watson...

actually that little site i put up for my band, i'm working on a backend content management area so I can let other bands use the template (or perhaps even sell it for a little bit of money and make it available nation wide so i can be a bizzilionare like TOM)

there will be forms to modify the pages, simular to myspace, but better. It's been a long-running dream of mine to get that going. I just don't have a whole lot of time to work on it, but It Is getting close to fully working.

you know i'll help you guys get a site up!
