I have a lot of embarrassing albums, so I have to figure out which is the cream of the crop.

Probably "Millenium" by the Backstreet boys, or "Public Affair" by Jessica Simpson and Daughtry's new one! Rele is actually covering "It's not Over" by Daughtry. Trust me I know I'll never hear the end of that one. Really, I own and love those CD's!

Probably Kenny G's greatest hits. I got it from my girlfriends kid bro for Xmas last year. I can just see the convo they mustah had ... "hey Sis, what do I get Rhian? Ohhh he like Jazz so go and pick out a Jazz CD of some sort."

Haha, that was quite a surprise when I openned that gift. I still havent made it all the way through it but it does have a spot in my oceans of CD's Big Grin

I have a question, Gio. Do we have to like the CD as in Guilty pleasures or do we just have to give it a home in our collections?

The Oktober People - Drunken Monotony.

I hate to say it, but thats pretty Gay!!
Don't get me wrong, I own some music that alot of you don't listen to! But I would consider throwing that into the sock drawer or something!

It may be gay, but those dudes were the hottest thing and got a lot of good looking ladies to their shows. Plus singing 5 part harmonys is not easy, I have much respect for them because they pulled it off.

Actully, I agree with you! Singing 5 part harmony is hard, I wish a lot more of us here locally would sing more harmonies! But any Male Rock band or pop group can get the ladies! but thats a given!
but Thats why the beach boys are still the BEST! and UNDEFEATRED in the Rock/pop/harmony/vocals catagory! Brian Wilson did it all! Wrote, Produced, Arranged! Back Street Boys, New Kids On the Block, 98 Degrees, all these bands still don't touch the beach boys in this stuff. Those new school bands were "Pre Fab" , they had songwriters, Producers wroking for them, all they have to do is show up at the concerts. and the material is nothing new and original, or fresh! no Soul behind it!!

I'm with ya... If you like it, you like it. If you don't, sell it! No reason to be embarrased for taste.

Nothing terribly wrong with the CD (I've heard worse), but it's not quite my thing.

It was April 2004 and I drove to Colorado Springs to see Exodus. After the show, I wanted the new CD (which kicks ass, BTW -- one of the very best of 1980s-thrash-band comeback albums that popped up in the mid-00s thanks to the cancer epidemic), "Tempo of the Damned."

I drunkenly staggered over to a merch table, and said I wanted a CD. I paid my money, put the CD in my coat pocket (despite being April, it was a winter wonderland in CoSprings), and staggered to my hotel.

The next day, I looked at my CD, and it wasn't Exodus at all. I somehow bought a CD by a band called Shrine of Stars, who didn't even play that night. I guess the merch guy had a little fun with a drunk rocker.

So that makes it embarrassing, I guess.

I have a Kajagoogoo tape somehwere in a box that I haven't listened to since 1985. For some reason I haven't thrown it out, like I might need it in the future to save the world from aliens or something.

There's nothing embarrassing about any of these. Seriously.

I agree! Now, I found a couple last night, Mariah Carey, The Bengals, Heart, 4 Non-Blonds. Now some of you might say thats not bad, but you see, I am a born and raised "Metal Head", so these are bad!

My most embarassing albums are the 200-plus LPs that I left in the care of a "friend" in NJ when I moved out here in 1997.

Fuck. Now I'm pissed. I hope karma took a huge, steaming dump on that weasel.

I have hundreds of albums that suck, but I'm not really embarrassed by them. I just have a hard time throwing out any music. I have (or had) most of the things listed here....

I had the superbowl shuffle on cassette. Beat that!
