i don't know if there is already a thread on this shite or not, but i just got my car booted... i suggest you all pay your tickets when you receive them... i didn't... for about 12 tickets... it's 60 fucking dollars each... plus a 50 dollar boot removal fee... the parking lady told me not to feel bad, because earlier today one gentleman got booted with 49 fucking tickets... that's brutal... just take it from me... i may very well be fucked... YAY!
Are they cracking down with that boot? I see them all over recently.
Parking made me drop out of college. In San Francisco I sometimes would get $200 worth of tickets EACH DAY (and still sometimes had to park two miles from my damn apartment). Classes were three hours, parking was two, and finding a new spot could take the whole last hour. After being towed three times, paying $1250 and with outstanding tickets of over $2000 more, I drove my van to another town and just left it. I took the train back. I walked everywhere over those damn hills, 3 miles each way to school. I could only afford ramen to eat after paying my fines. I lost 50 pounds. I went back for my van about six months later and it was still fucking there and still ran and everything. I got in and moved here. I never paid for the outstanding tickets. I hate parking tickets so much.
it's mostly due to the school parking nazis... i was dating a girl who lived too close to campus, so every time i spent the night there i'd wake up to a new ticket... i didn't have all that money at the time, so, well, i didn't pay them... i fucking wish i had now...
well i already paid it, but i inquired about such things. they said i'd have to set up 12 separate court dates. one for each ticket. and it would be pretty hard for me to contest them... cuz, well, i deserved them. haha. oh well. car car is back and i am mobile again.
