All these cats can do what they want, but we all know that the acid rain is going to get us first. Or wait, it's the hole in the ozone. No, wait, it's the nuclear power plants. That's it. Thank god we don't have to wait for the natural occurance of climate changes that have occured since the beginning of time on this planet to follow its course.

You're just putting up a smokescreen to distract us from the real problems. We'll see who's laughing once those killer bees have taken over. But yeah, regardless of how you agree with the studies/conclusions/consequences, enviromental issues are going to have to burden either the rich or the poor. We can't very well tell third world countries that they aren't allowed to have an industrial revolution, and the other option is punishing our success. Even if we agree on what the problems are, we'll NEVER agree how to/who should fix it. Someone is getting screwed (or maybe we all are, if you are on that side if the issue). My car didn't pass emissions testing, and the fix cost more than the car. Apparently I have to buy a new SUV to be enviromentally compliant. I am not rich enough to be allowed to fuck up the enviroment.

Far more extreme than the earth and that effects us. The last climate change that was caused by a living thing here on earth was millions of years ago when bacteria first spread through the oceans and on land and that got the atmosphere to the point where it contained 35% o2 which some millions of years later allowed the dinosaurs to exist they were able to become so large because of the high o2 levels in the atmosphere. Despite all the hype this planet is very much owned by plants and bacteria. If you put plants on a scale with humans they would outweigh us by a ridiculous number and if you weighed bacteria against plants the bacteria would take the cake by a very large margin. To think that we humans have the power to bring climate change is giving us way too much credit. On that note Al Gore is expected to win an oscar for An Inconvenient Truth tonight or did that already happen?
Thanks, Rush.
