What's the Mighty Arrow like?

What Would Hüsker Dü?

Mighty Arrow is a 6% pale ale. It's hoppy, but not hoppy like an IPA. Included in the 12 were a few bottles of Mothership Wit also. It's like a weissbier with some weird shit thrown in it. Mothership is one of Mrs. Foodstamps faves. The New Belgium seasonals, like most of their stuff, are really good, as I'm sure you know. I especially like their Springboard Ale when I can get it.

meh. I'm not much for pale ales. IPAs & Weissbeirs I drink when it's hot out, but this time of year I like the thicker stuff. Right now it's the Trippel, the Abbey, and the 1554 Black Ale for me.

Tomorrow's payday, so I can splurge on one of these:

You pretty much can't go wrong with that Unibroue stuff. Myself, I'm ready for spring and am done with the dark/bock/Islay malt Scotch. Still, a German Dopplebock with some smoked nuts and a nice applewood smoked cheddar sounds good to me!

You ever try Bridgeport IPA? It's probably one of the best beers I have ever had, but it is hoppy as hell, more than a normal IPA.

That, right there, is my #1 favorite beer in the world. It's hoppy, but not as extreme as some of the other west coast IPA/APAs. They got it just right.

I'm a sucker for the over-the-top hoppy NorCal beers. Lagunitas and Anderson Valley are my two favorite breweries. I haven't found anywhere in New Mexico that carries Lagunitas, though, so I've had friends shipping me six packs from California.

Lately I've been drinking winter seasonals. The Anderson Valley Winter Solstice is great and I like the New Belgium 2 Below. Kid's asleep... I think I'll have one right... now!

Familiar with the Stone. Good stuff, but the Lagunitas Maximus puts it to shame in the raging hops category.

Must be pretty brutal, one bottle of stone is dehydrating enough!

I have been quite partial to Alien Ale and Santa Fe Nut Brown recently. New Mexicans can brew some damn fine beer!

AHHH! it is my suspicion that steel reserve was formulated to slowly kill bums. i drank a bunch of that a while ago when i had no money. there were several nights where i woke up the next morning and couldn't remember how or when i got home. i knew i was biking, and i would wake up extremely sore in the morning. one night the front door was even left open and a neighborhood cat made it's way into my house and i found it the next morning on my couch! i'll never drink that shit again!
