I will be staggering back and forth between Full Sail Pale Ale and New Belgium Springboard tonight. Springboard is delicious and packs 6.2 ABV. There was a mention of absinthe earlier, and I too wish I could get my hands on some of the real stuff. As a weak, beery alternative, know that the springboard is made with wormwood, which is basically a weed in its native area, and a commonly used, attractive, fragrant xeric plant around here.

Is Tecate common in bars in ABQ? If so, the town gets even more cool points.

Yes, dirtbag, tecate is frquent in downtown bars. Most frequently in 16 ounce cans for $2 to $4 each. But you can do so much better.

I also dig the alien amber.. don't know if it's brewed here or not.. but it's mighty delicious

tecate has taken a .50 bump in price recently. it's 3.50 i think at atomic for a 16oz. i was at misty's a few weeks ago and they charge 3.50 for miller high life, thats crazy expensive compared to downtown.

That's now brewed in Moriarty, at the Sierra Blanca brewery. Neat place and very nice people; if you're ever out there, drop by and buy a case of somethin'.

First run through Bernstein's "Chichester Psalms" tonight. I definitely needed a beer afterwards, and Michelob Ultra Amber was on the menu. Not the best beer, I know, but it was cheap and I'm watching my girlish figure. L'Chaim!

Tonight it's time for, yes, you guessed it, more beeerrr. Tonight I shall partake in Arrogant Bastard, Steelhead, and a lil Heineken on the side. . .
