They're almost impossible to find. I saw some on ebay not long ago, but didn't keep up with the auction. I guess I wasn't that serious about it.

Still... there are a couple midi pedals on musician's friend, but they're pretty pricey - like $500 to $900.

I found a site that talked about building pedals that just attach to a cheapo casio keyboard. Which is exactly what I might do.

This is all, of course, so I can find out once and for all that I can't play keyboards with my feet while I play guitar. Just like when I bought that fucking accordian and couldn't do shit with it.

Does anybody have - or has anyone ever played with - Taurus Bass Pedals?

I sold it at a small loss about a month later. That was like three years ago. It was a beautiful, red machine that I bought on impulse at music go round. Man, it weighed a ton, though, and that whole left had button thing had me bamboozled. Then the strap snapped and I came to my senses - my stupid casio keyboard could sound just like an accordian if I ever needed it to.

I tell myself I can learn to play anything if I put my mind to it, but I just don't have the time or circumstances to check that theory anymore. Even my crappy banjo I ended up tuning like a guitar and only recorded one song with it.

So, yeah, bass pedals. Like what? I'm gonna go play my shitty songs by myself in a mexican restaurant or something? Somebody stop me. I can just see myself super-glueing coat hangers to my keys, pretending like... I dunno.

I really have no desire to play live anymore. But it's just like Mitch Headberg talking about how long it takes to make a baked potato. He doesn't want one now, but in three hours... who knows? Might as well pop one in.
