The Rakes had a couple. One was at a graduation ceremony at Navajo elementary. Our guitarist Cisco's girlfriend got us the gig. We showed up and told the principal we were with the band, only to have her tell us there wasn't a band. But then they let us play anyway, one kid was complaining about his ears melting, and after five minutes they all left and gave us cafeteria pizza in exchange. Then we played another ten minutes while the janitor was mopping up the place. The other was at the Golden West, Cisco and I were both piss drunk there was noone inside the bar but some people were standing outside the window, probably taking a break from a show at the launchpad, so we decided it would be a good idea to do a striptease for them...We didn't really get gigs there afterwards.
