There hasn't been for awhile. Albuquerque's music scene seems to fluctuate up and down over the years. Right now it seems like it's down more than ever though. No launchpad to draw in the bigger names and burts is only doing shows twice a week.

ouch.

On the bright side I finally went to the Stove and it's really fucking awesome. I can't remember the last time we had a great all ages venue in this "city."

That is a great place. This town is really lucky to have that.

it would be nice to have the Curio reopen already. they still have to build that bathroom. as far as i know, that's all they have left... the only thing better than a kickass all ages venue, is two kickass all ages venues.

that is all

The Curio was great. I miss that place even though I only got to go there twice.

It closed down a year ago, how long does it take to build a fucking bathroom!

Bad news: Curio will never open again. It isn't even their building anymore.

Good News: Breakfast Show #3 @ Stove June15

Lots of shows at the Stove for the summer.

I'm not sure. It pretty much seemed like different bullshit hurdles kept coming at them, and they just gave up.

Sucks too. No place in town (not even our beloved Stove) had that comfortable environment.

We've played there twice so far and will be playing there again in a couple of weeks. Good crowds so far, they really seem to enjoy the music there.
