Even though some may have no respect for the Dicksee Chicks or their music, I personally was happy to see them win. They are bad ass "Americans" in my mind because when 90% of America was hanging flags outside of their houses and jumping on this bullshit fascist bandwagon that ensued through 9-11, fear, and government manipulation they had the cajones to speak out and disagree. They embodied freedom of speech and then were berrated and made to feel like traitors because of their opinions, how UN-American of us. We are still trying to work out this freedom of speech thing. Conrats ChickeePoos! You have all of my respect even though I hate your music...

I agree with the whole who gives a shit approach. There are far better local, underground(not mainstream) artists that should and could kick the crap out of these posers. The last time I cared about the grammy's was when the Smashing Pumkins were nominated for best album or best rock song for melon collie.

This new music today is POP, if it not pop, then its forgotten. I would love to see who actually buys these albums for all these bubble gum pop stars. Boo

OK roswell rocker, If they were giving out a dissent is patriotic award then good for them. Throw a parade for all i care, but this was a music awards ceremony. Politics should be left out of the judging process altogether, but im just wasting my time, because whats done is done. For all i know their album was decent

It is true that none of us have Grammy's...(yet), but if we Had Rick Rubin (like the dixie chicks) we might have a fighting chance. Apparently he is the same producer that is trying to help Metallica with there "come back" album....if they can grab him before he does the next velvet revolver album...

I agree that they(dixie chicks) have cajones....well the lead singer for sure.

I said nothing to the effect of Patriotism, politics, and a correlation to the juding process I don't know where you got that from, but I did say that I respect them for having the balls to speak up in a public forum. So I wish people who speak truth and go against the grain all the success in the world. That is what I was trying to get accross.
