i was there? were you? considering the measly attendance, i'm guessing for most of you the answer is no.

but i don't really wish that anyone was there, i was just wondering if any squawkers were actually in attendance. i really enjoyed the small crowd and the small venue.

ralli's is absolutely not the right place for a band like pelican to play. however, i had a really good time seeing them in such a smaller space. it was a weird room, and i had to walk around a lot to find a spot that sounded good and balanced without one of the guitars blaring. once i found that spot though, it sounded pretty good. and they played well, their drummer needs to take some lessons in finesse, but ya know... whatevs.

I was there, I thought they actually sounded pretty good last night. At least from where I was listening. That little guitar player was thrashing his head around so hard I think it made my neck hurt =) Good set, and I kinda liked the early show, over at 9:15....perfect for my old ass.
