I disagree though. I think Marx contributed greatly to our understanding of history. More importantly he inspired many cool authors who took his ideas and made newer cooler ones. This being said, MArx and socialism don't really agree. I wouldn't last an hour in China etc etc. But just becasue some of these attempts to put Marx into practice arn't that cool does't mean he wasn't right about some stuff. No thoery got it all right. His observation about the way society works are cooland sometiems very, if sadly, true. His ideas about the perfect society etc...well not so much. Oh well.
