Just read Belichick has been doing this since he first became coach. And this behavior is "illegal." Personally, I don't see anything wrong with it. Coaches are making those signals out in the open. Anyone can see them. They should be fair game. Instead of taping them, they could hire an autistic savant to reproduce them for study. Whatever.

Hey, what do you have against hippies? Peace and love, baby! Isn't that better than "Satan and death?" I don't think there's any "real" hippies around anyway, are there?

my favorite quote about hippies is from pete menchetti (the sticker guy/ 702 records in reno NV).
it was in maximum rock and roll like 10 years ago. i don't have it front of me but it was something like:

'i don't know what punks have against hippies. sure they smell, dress funny and play bad music but so do most punks.'

beautiful.

That is beautiful. Punx and hippies should have stinky little hunk-pippies. They'd be some angry, mooching, out-there spawn.

it already exists. although a lot of kids would deny it, a majority of dreadlocked crust punks have more in common with hippies than they do with johnny rotten and joey ramone.

Any specific examples? Also, I'm in my 30's but I know some younger people and a few young musicians. I get the impression that "Johnny Rotton and "Joey Ramone" don't represent punk for that crowd anymore. They're more like relics, kinda like how I view Elvis. Punk for kids these days seems more about "aggro" or "emo" or "screamo." While I still love 70's punk, I think it pretty much got blown out of the water long ago with 80's California punk like Black Flag and the Dead Kennedys, no? Still, I'd rather throw on BOLLOCKS instead of DAMAGED any day, but that's just me. And of course, one should never underestimate the social upheaval the Pistols spearheaded and the tremendous impact on music they had.

One thing that amazes me is that some teenagers these days are actually into 80's hairmetal like Motley Crue.

Crust punks = Fashion Punks. It's probably an old term, but I've heard about some crust punks going out to "Spange" to get some money to buy a 4 pack or whatever. even one time i had some kid who couldn't be over 25 with a dog and his stinky ass girlfriend ask me for change. I gave him a dirty look and said no, to which he responded, "It's ok, you don't have to feel bad.." Damn hippies..

hardcore vegan, dumpster diving, patchouli-wearing dreadhead crusties in drum circles at anti-war demonstrations who listen to lots of crust- and grind-core. "peace punks" is the more polite way of calling 'em hippies.

the music is different and they're more (rightly so) pissed off nowdays but i was a hippie and i can spot another a mile off.
