Hi everybody,

I'm from Denton, TX and I'm booking a tour of the southwest with some friends of mine. We'd like to hit Juarez, Roswell, Santa Fe, and Albuquerque. Could you help me out with some contacts and stuff?

The acts touring play mostly twisted folk and space rock.

thanks,
David

And trying to make friends in NM.
Of course this is probably some alter ego booby trap.

it's on the border and I don't know of any message boreds in Mexico and I can't speak Spanish anyway so I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. We all used to be part of Mexico anyway before Andrew Jackson and all that shit.

Seriously, just looking for the names of some venues.

Then you should try to find an El Paso forum since it's actually across their boarder. Good luck.

Good Lord. Man's just trying to get some help here. No wonder people don't want to come here with reception like this. I mean, it's not even witty.

Hang in there Admiral. There are a lot of decent people here and someone with something worth saying will help you out. Just give them a chance to log back in.

Not trying to be "witty". I was a little insulted at what seemed like a jab at our state. When I understood his intentions, I offered what I thought was a helpful suggestion for his need for contacts to get gigs in Juarez. And then wished him good luck. I did not flame or attack him as you suggest. Have a nice day.

I would try clovis or Las cruces before roswell.
Unless you're just going there for the alien crash museums...and even then I don't think it's worth it.
Carlsbad also has something going on.

But don't call The Golden West (it burned down) or Launchpad (scheduled to reopen in June).

thanks for the help everybody.

We got a show at the Humble in Santa Fe on July 23. We decided to skip Albuquerque because of lack of time.

We're even playing Juarez!

A teensy bit overly sensitive, no? Pride sucks. Nothing good can come from pride. Why so proud of New Mexico anyways? God, I'm sorry, that's just embarrassing.

Let me offer some constructive criticism. You're sending some major mixed messages with that "Mr. FUCKOFF" shit. Like Jenny said, it's not even funny. I suggest changing your name and ditching that snooty signature line. It's interfereing with your ability to be friendly and think positive thoughts. It's not a good way to make friends and influence people. I mean no offense - just a suggestion!
