I guess the city found somebody new to fuck with. I was wondering what was going on down there on friday. I figured it was another shooting. It really makes the city's battle with Launchpad a few years ago look absurd since nothing like that was ever going on at LP. Lets hope this doesn't send the city on another crusade against all ages rock shows.
Here's another article

It's kind of interesting that 500 people (?!) were searched. I wonder what the warrant said. They turned up a bunch of drugs but then not even one possession charge?

Also, when the Coliseum closed and Club 7 opened, there was a gap where I ass/u/med some remodeling or something like that happened in there. You'd think that whatever "code violations" the place is closed for, have already been signed off on. Not so?

I'm getting a funny feeling that something has been badly botched, and our least favorite downtown business is going to open again soon, perhaps with a settlement check from the taxpayers. I hope I'm wrong and the cops didn't fuck this up as badly as it appears.

If you search 500 people ANYWHERE, you are bound to find some drugs. KOB can't spell heroin? Way to go, local news.

Though I don't know where the girls would hide the drugs in those hot pants. Since I work doorman at the Blackbird a little bit, I've spent many an hour marvelling at those hot pants (and the creepy, three-buttons-opened-on-the-shirt old dudes who went there to also look at them). It's gonna be kinda sad to spend six hours on that street now. The article says "stripped down to their underwear" but it could easily have been those hot pants. They were that hot.

I left Launchpad that night to pick up my Blackbird check and drop some pins off right during the mess. It was hilarious and scary. I have never seen that many cops in one place. It would have been a great time to rob something in the heights.

Whatever it was, there was/is something shady there. When I delivered pizzas to there they started off tipping like 50%, but by the time I quit they frequently tried to short me, and I'd have to count their payment while sweaty groups of men with bodyguards eyed me from behind curtains no matter what time of the day it was.

No, they meant heroine. The hot pants are part of Ecstasy Girl's costume.

Yeah I remember seeing a news report on channel 7 right before this place opened with the owner telling them "Oh yeah, we've remodeled and we ready to open and go for a more 'high end' clientele" (yeah, tryin to be "lotus" a.k.a. OPM?) HA what a laugh. . .

You know though, besides the thugs and no necks on the weekends, they did also have a goth night and a gay night. Kinda marginalizing those groups now- they keep getting pushed out of places.
