The thing I love about Amnesiac and Kid A are the visuals I get just from listening to those albums. I can lay on the floor, close my eyes, and just listen to those albums and conjure up weirdness for hours. Sober.

Maybe I'm just lame, but I still can't figure out the time signature for "Pyramid Song". I think it just goes back and forth from 1 & 3 to 2 & 4. But the image in my head of a pharoah mummy made of playdoh playing poker with Gumby and Pokey in a saloon with a player piano in the corner distracts me.

Those are the same reasons I love them.
If music can't take you elsewhere, I don't see the point in listening.
I feel the same with pop songs too.
For me, music is all about emotion and imagery. If you can combine those with a good tune and lyrics, you're golden.
