Current bands or all-time? I dunno, a comp is different than just a list of good bands- it's all about tracks flowing. Greatest hits or mix tape? I think I'll skip this one.

I was thinking current bands, a comp with similar styles. Like you said, it shouldn't be just a list of good bands.

Ahh, I see. Well, pick from the other 9 then. Big Grin That brings up another question. Has there ever been a local Santa Fe indie comp? I dont ever remember hearing about one.

Perhaps I wasn't paying attention.

Did it not pan out because the idea wasnt pursued aggressively or was there simply no demand for it - yanno not enough bands to make it affordable for those involved?

they just flaked on it. but honestly, i don't really think there'd be much demand for it even if it did happen, and it would ultimately lose a lot of money. especially now, when a bunch of santa fe bands/people have relocated to albuquerque.

I'll contribute a 2.5 minute drum etude. That'll be certain to boost sales to at least Aluminum Foil status.

Flood the Sun - Meltdown
The United - Robots vs Dragons
We Were Born as Ghosts - The Link Between
Hit by a Bus - Hungry Kids Eating Kids
Ya Ya Boom - Blood Blister
Glen Mara - Heist
Coma Recovery - Hearts of Man
Ends !n Tragedy - Bullets from Fairview
I is for Ida - Spiral Mirror
Volume Volume - Anymore

Kind of a manic list as far as genra but I think in the right order it would be good. I would have to make a whole other list for heavy rock and metal progish bands. Gotta go!

you must show your nine pieces of eight to justify a vote for your band to be on a local comp!!!!

I think that I shall never see
A poem as lovely as a tree
And if he hollers make him pay
Fifty dollars every day
And be he live or be he dead
I'll grind his bones to make my bread.
And all at once I saw a crowd
A host of golden daffodils.
No phones, no bikes, no motorcars.
The youngest one in curls.
Come and shit on our floor.
Thundercats ho.
