Name five bands that you wish would come through Albuquerque. You know, the ones that always seem to pass right by here ....

Shit, I though it was just "name five bands." that would have been a lot easier.

Tried to get king khan here last time around but the guarantee was waaaay out of reach. I told them I'd personally guarantee $300 and their agent laughed. Now they're on vice so fuck that.

Crystal stilts might be doable in the near future and vivian girls if I could ever get em out this direction.

I've seen;

-Led Zepplin in Johnson Gym
-The Who at Journal Pavillion
-The Eagles at the Pit
-Zappa at Johnson Gym
-Zappa Plays Zappa at the Kiva
-Jethro Tull at the Pit (three summers in a row; Aqualung Tour, Thick As A Brick Tour and Passion Play Tour.
-I saw either Pearl Jam or Stone Pimple Toilets at the Beach Water Park when my bros in the Butthole Surfers were opening the show. Can't remember which Grunge band as I was not hanging in the crowd after the Butthole Surfers.

I've also been fortunate enough to have seen Mingus at the La Fonda in Santa Fe, Dizzy Gillespe at Popejoy, Mel Torme and George Shearing at Popejoy, the Ramones at the SUB Ballroom, Toots Thielemans at the Outpost, Sam Rivers and Dave Holland at the Outpost, Taj Mahal at the Line Camp and Golden Inn, John Lee Hooker at the Golden Inn, B.B. King at the PIT with two practically unknown (at the time) bands opening for him--Black Oak Arkansas and ZZ Top.

I've seen others too, but I think I've de-railed this thread enough.

For now...

(still the best) Hated (band in town).....
