After 6 years of being a band, our drummer has decided to move on to bigger and better things. He is and always will be a great friend of mine and The chemistry he helped bring to the table will be nearly impossible to replace.

Yet the show must go on. he (A.J.) will play with us till the CD release party (September/October) and then we will be in need of a new drummer.

Our latest recorded stuff which has not been previously released is now up on our Evil myspace page. Please check it out. This is basically the style we have grown into BUT we are willing to go any direction.

Keep in mind these are not final mixes and not mastered. We were saving it till the buildup of the release but it is starting sooner i guess!

Here is the status of the band:
we have our own PA system(everything) and Digi 002 recording platform

We will be out of a practice space though and perhaps the new guy/gal will know of a new place we can jam out. I can make things happen too im just letting this future person know everything B4 hand.

I hope to be able to play most of the newly recorded songs with the new person but like I said, we're open to anything. However, i didnt spend an assload recording not to play them and to not sell any CDs ya know.

Colin is 21 and I have just turned 20, we would love to find someone whom we can be friends with, not just business partners. We are out to have fun and make some noise too!

really? I have google searched and myspace searched it and I only found my profile listed for that, but you have bee around the scene much longer than I have.

Definitely i have seen the Times new roman but nothing else.

yah... i only know b/c one of the names we were considering was "New Roman Times"...

so we did a pretty hardcore search of all the variations... it's pretty common phrase to jumble up.

dave, i just looked it up again and you are definitely right. It had been a while before i had searched. Its a damn cool name but unfortunately many more people think that too.

A.J. is leaving because he has aspirations of working for NASA someday. His grades are really good now and the only reason he has those awesome grades (I am so fucking jealous) is because he has to study night and day which gets in the way of music. He is also going out of state for the rest of his college career in the next year too. He has chosen his path and I support him on his decision so all is well. Im just glad that this somewhat split up of the band is not bitter and filled with hate and other things. It sucks cuz the three of us have known each other since the 2nd grade.

I've been looking for band names for my new band, and it is a bitch. First I check godaddy.com to see if there is a domain registered under that name. I really want to have the domain for my band. One reason I like godaddy (besides that it's cheaper than most places to actually register the name) is that they give you synonyms or make suggestions or varations. It made me think of Cherry Tempo actually, because if you put in "red" it suggests "cherry."

Then you check Google and purevolume and other places that might have lists of taken names.

if your band name is short and sweet, it's next to impossible to get the domain because they're all already taken. we registered supergiantrock.com because supergiant.com was taken. i emailed the dude that owned it and he said he wouldn't sell it for less than $20,000. (that's a lot of tshirts we're gonna have to sell.) i was just happy that no one has used SuperGiant as a band name (of course now there is now this dumb VH1 show SuperGroup)

The generator gave me "Doom Orphan" just now. Not great, but I've heard worse even today. I really wanted to get "doom" into my new band title, but it has a connotation that is hard to get rid of. I'm still kinda attached to "Doom School," but I think the rest of the members might not fly with that.

Yeah, I ran quite a few of them where I'd go to the page and see "so-and-so.com is for sale for $1400." or some such thing.

I'm still hoping to find a different name rather than go with "_rock.com," "_band.com" or "_music.com," but it may be impossible. I could always do .net or something, but I really want people to be able to find it a lot of work. I guess that's why so many band have shitty five-word names nowadays.

When my band has picked a name I'll post all of our rejects someplace.

Yeah, thats another problem we had with T.A.B. . We always had to spell out B A N N E D every T I M E we said our freakin' N A M E . have fun with email address, we just went tabrock.com , and that poses other problems too!

Good luck in your quest for a drummer. Same thing happened to us for our CD release...and a few other shows too.
