Ouch my head. I got home from the bar at 2:30, asleep at 2:40. Woke up at 5:40 to be to work at 7:00. I hate having to play off a hangover. I love being a part of the Albuquerque music scene. Dayjobs...ya we got dayjobs. How about you?

The only people that know are me, my bandmates and the patrons of Burt's. None of which are here. My secret is safe.

If I could only figure out how to sneek out early and go get a bloody mary, I'd be set.

I don't play weekday shows because I can't function around teenagers without plenty of sleep. I would beat them to death if I was hung over. Then I'd be out of a job.

you guys sounded mostly like ska to me. i was expecting more straight forward punk rock but your songs are way more proggy with lots of changes in beat, tempo and style between ska, reggae, funk (slappy bass) with some punk parts mixed in. not a bad thing!!! but I wouldn't call you guys a punk band. (then again kids today think Good Charloette is punk so what the hell do I know?) some parts were really cool, but some changes were a tad rough. overall think you guys have something good going. (but don't get too cocky Wink Go see Icky and the Yuks and be humbled) there was way too much talking between songs for my liking i like when bands go song to song to song to song. less talk, more rock!

there were a decent amt. of ladies out which isn't really common for a tues Smile

I try to avoid weekday shows if I can help it. It can be rough, especially for those of us with kids, day jobs, oldness. It's the cost of doing business though sometimes.

That's why God invented calling in sick.

I appreciate your candor. I've seen Icky and the Yucks, and yes, we have some work to do. Its interesting that you should say that we're ska. I used to call our music ska and I would hear all kinds of people telling me no horns = no ska. Its not just straight forward punk. To be honest reggae is my main musical influence and I could talk about the roots of reggae and ska for hours. Punk, not so much. Our bassist insists we're punk, and he's the main reason we lable our music as such, even though the guy drops the funk like no other bassist I've seen in Abq thus far. Our drummer is super pumped about your prog reference. He worships Rush.

I got some sleep last night and I'm feeling chipper this morning. I felt pretty shitty yesterday, but having children and going to college has gotten me pretty used to sleep deprivation. Besides, I love playing music regardless of whether or not I get to sleep.

Oh ya, the girls, our fan base boasts an execelent guy to girl ratio that favors the guys. Our fans are mostly girls and they like to dance, which I've read on this message board once is another reason we're not punk.

Lucky for me, my day job requires me to be as drunk, high and blown-out as possible. Plus I gave up on sleep years ago.

You should at least try that.

(still the best) Hated (band in town).....

Are you upper management (no pun intended)? If so, can I at least get an interview?

You guys were good man, lots of different stuff going on, many changes. We still blow parts on songs that we've been playing for over two years. Esp. when we smoke too much weed out of someone kid's skull before a show.

I have a new name for your band... "Skull Toker"

what do you think? it's far more punk rock than "racist cop" and much more offensive!

Why not just pull out all the stops and go with "Skull Bong".
