looks pretty cool, but get rid of the actual words. just keep the numbers, would look much better that way.

True. That would keep the drawing in the back from conflicting as much. Better image balance as well.

I wouldn't change a thing. I like how the actual words are slightly obstructed so it's more of a "hint hint", plus, if you moved it to the bottom it's like 237 is the name of the album and not the band. I also think it being off balanced creates a strong feeling for me. As for the flipping of the back image, it would lose that seeping of rust/blood feeling and look like you were trying to border the cover. The only thing that bothers me are the colons. I looked at it and thought,"What grammatical purpose do these serve?" I don't think the image needs them. So there's my penny's worth of reaction brought on by 10 years of marketing experience and analysis.

i dig toning down the words... maybe we can make em dark and move em a little bit lower, just under the numbers. maybe throw the album name down near the bottom, i really like the top heavy aspect. having eveything center balanced is over rated. i'll toss these ideas around and send you guys some new proofs. i'm diggin all the input, good stuff!

Good work, John. This definitely doesn't look like your average local cover.

I say it looks bad A! Leave it as is… I’d like to see some other proofs but I can’t see it getting any better. I normally like the name of the cd somewhere on it but in this case I think it might ruin it. What is the name of the cd anyways? John Salazar, Levi, and I think its John in Left Brain who does the artwork, but anyway they are all photoshop masters, I’m always amazed at some of the stuff they can do.

With fresh eyes today, I agree. Throw the name of the disc on the clear spine of the tray card and call it a day. Can't wait to see the rest of the layout!
